USFS Securty gate upstream from the confluence of the Verde and Oak Creek...up stream from Alcantara winery.

Small Square tubing....2.25 in. OD...maybe...needs to be sure to fit inside the large Sq. Tube of 2.5 in. OD.-7 ft plus 8' to be used as diagonal as support from swinging side. Also, 32 inches of

Lock piece sets in to a slot....tab is .........3"x2"x14"thick...has a flange sticking out of bottom and sets into a slot on top of the gate as it swings into the stationary post over the top of the 12 inch well casing...we will probably use 8 inch well casing and it will work just as WELL.....sits on well casing and lock is insterted up inside the well casing through a hole in this piece....this tab is removable and can be taken away from the gate.

Large Square tubing is 2.5 in OD...

Total span is 17' 4"
2" --tubing is 9'4"
2"--exposed part is 3'4"
2.5"--tubing is 14' long

I have more measurements...they just are not yet posted.....the steel across the span is 2 inch....coated galvanized like what is used on some sign posts on the highway...then 1-1/4 inch steel slides in and allows for easy adjustment in the field.
Posts on the end that hang the gate are 3inches and quite sturdy....

POste might be 3 feet deep for security and not be able to be pulled over....probably risist rifle bullets as well....not something that can be easily pulled over or destroyed.

Not sure of cost of materials....

8 ft. 1-1/2 might be about $50.00....if I recall....

Angle brace is connected 8 feet from the swing post....need to calculate that hypotenuse....hmmmmm. forgot to measure but not hard to do...if I recall.
